St Mary’s Church, Micheldever Roof Repairs Fundraising Campaign 2025
St Mary’s PCC needs to make essential repairs to the roof and gutters which were highlighted in the recent inspection by the architect. The slates on the chancel roof are slipping and need to be removed, new battens applied, and the slates re-laid. As part of part commitment to Net Zero we will take the opportunity to lay new thermal insulation. Repairs are also needed to the vestry roof. While scaffolding is up, repairs will be undertaken to the rainwater goods.
The repairs will cost in the region of £45,000 and you will see below how we intend to raise the funds needed. To be able to apply to grants, we need to demonstrate our commitment through our own giving, to potential grant-funders.

If we raise more money than required for the roof the extra money will be put towards other fabric projects. The next project will be stonework repairs to the tower.
