Roof Repairs have started at St Mary’s – Autumn 2025
As many of you will have seen, scaffolding has been erected around St Mary’s Church, Micheldever. We would like to tell you what is happening….. The roof of the chancel (built circa 1880) is covered in very large format slates which are beautiful, but extremely uneven. A recent survey showed that some of the slates have slipped out of line, probably due to the sheer weight of the individual slates.
